My best friend was telling me she went to a sleepover and a small group of girls there were saying how much I've changed. Like, how I don't go to church or anything like that and that I'm like, satanist and slutty. When I'm never, btw. :P

The ONLY time you should worry about yourself is when your close friends or family sit down and talk to you about that kind of stuff. The only things you should trust is what a person who really cares about you says.
As for cliques, girls can be mean. Most of the time, they say those things because they are jealous. The best thing to do is to ignore it. If it continues, have a few good comebacks. Not hurtful or childish, just clever. Never, ever, let it bother you, and if it does, don't let it show to those girls or anyone involved with them.
Also, did your best friend stick up for you, if given the opportunity, at that sleepover?

One person I knew used to talk behind my back. I'm not sure what they said though honestly, I rather not know. If I did, I probably would spend most of my time dwelling on it and trying to get my head around what exactly I had done. I believe the best way of dealing with criticism and gossip is to just move on and get over it. It doesn't matter how well you treat others, someone is still going to talk about you out of jealousy or just insecurity. Also, the ones who usually do the bad talking are the ones that people dislike the most and therefore are talked about the most. Don't let those girls get to you. You know your not that type of person. Be the mature individual and don't stoop down to their level.How do you deal with people when they call you mean names?
Too many things lol. I have been called fat ugly and weak. I have been called a man slut by many. And like half my school talks crap about me behind my back. But its the nerdy wannabe cool half so i don't really care all that much. When people call me name i usually ignore them. It won't piss me off unless its true and none of the crap people say about me is true so why should i care? Your haters are your biggest fans. They are the ones who can't get you off of there mind and sit around and talk about you with all your friends when your not there. The way i see it i am a well known person and if people know you there gonna talk crap about you there is nothing i can do to stop that so i just accept it and choose not to give a flying FiretrUCK.
it doesnt bother me much. its not what they say, but its the audacity they have to say it, ya know? if they say something behond my back, i almost always confront them about it to make sure its true. if they say it to my face, its a good chance we're gonna fight if they werent playing around.
I guess small things amuse small minds. Just ignore them.

I used to get called gimp and I really hated it, but I just ignored it. I figured that if they knew it was bugging me they would pound the nails in.
I usually call them mean things as well. A guy once came up to me and said you're fat. Feeling annoyed because I know that I'm not. I told him he is a whale.
Remember; they won't be with you long term.
I go through this crap on a daily basis.
