You are absolutely right. These classic names have stood the test of time. They are not likely to cause embarrassment for the person in the future.



I've noticed that some older names are coming back into fashion so why not go back to some of your ancestors names.



Stick to your own culture, think about the teacher who was put in prison for calling a teddy bear Mohamed. She meant no insult but the authorities in the Sudan (?) did not see it that way.
