Where do I find baby names that are different but have the same meaning?

Okay. My mom's writing an autobiographical book, but she has to change the names to avoid legal suits.

However, being a true writer, she doesn't want to lose the essence of each person, and the name can truly define a person.

So I'm trying to find names that are different, but have the same meaning. For example, let's suppose that one person's name is Joseph. Joseph means "God adds." I want to find another name that means the same thing. Get it?
