Biblical meaning of names.?

I heard from my friend that there were biblical meanings to names that differ from the normal meanings. Does anyone know of a website that would tell me what names mean? Or could you give me the biblical meanings of these names:

Emma

Nicholas|||Emma: entire, universal.

Nicholas: victorious people

but really it depends where you look! if you search for meaning of names on google you will find loads of sites and not all of them give the same meanings for names.|||The book, "Who's Who In the Bible" isbn: 0-7853-2312-0 lists the name Nicholas (spelled nicolaus) as:

"conqueror of the people; 1 century A.D.; Ac 6:5 - Nicholas and six others from Greece were chosen to meet the daily food needs of the Greek widows who had been neglected (perhaps in favor of the Jewish widows), due to the growth of the early church in Jerusalem. THese seven were also trusted with handling the cross-cultural issues involved in this ministry. Nicolaus was a "proselyte of Antioch," meaning he had previously converted from a pagan background to Jusiasm before becoming a Christian. He is not likely responsible for or related to the Nicolaitans, whose heretical doctrine was condemned at Ephesus and pergamum (Rev 2:6,15). For further study, see Ac 6:1-6."

Sorry, there was nothing in the book for the name Emma (but I think its a beautiful name!)|||I know that Jesus means kill all muslims!
