Male names meaning brave, saviour, rescuer, loyal..?

okay, so i'm writing a book right now, and the only bit i get stumped at is choosing the names. for the main guy character i want his name to mean something along the lines of saviour, brave, loyal, rescuer or something similar to those.

also, if you'd list your favourite girl names that would be brilliant as i've three main girl characters to name and i'm lost :D kind of obscure names are more my type but listing any female names you love would be a HUGE help :D

My best advice to you as a writer is to use names that are easy to pronounce and that are appropriate for the time period. The best names for story characters are always very simple names. Ex.
