Does hello have a litteral meaning from another language?

I know that English names have meanings from other languages even though i don't know which languages. Like how my name (Emily) i found somewhere that my name means eager. but found in other places that it can mean industrious in german and french and i think a couple of other languages. So is the a meaning from another language for the English word hello?|||Currently, the meaning of hello is pretty much the same everywhere with slight difference in writing, such as alo in French, hallo in Dutch/German, Hola in Spanish.

BUT, the words hello have been derived from do have different meanings, which makes it more interesting.

1. Old High German comes from halon, or holon, which is to fetch, used especially when hailing a fisherman.

2. French: ho la, litterally means whoa there

I hope this answers your question.

As for your name: Emily is a derivative of Emil. Latin meaning would be "flatterer".
